Three things to know
- Distinguish transport from leaving a container for filling.
- Document material, quantity and loading method.
- Check access and working space for the actual vehicle.

Transport or leaving a container to fill?
Start with what needs moving, from where and to where. Say whether the material is ready for loading or will be generated later, and who loads it. 'Container' alone does not establish size, permitted load or time on site. Confirm the actual transport option for the material, vehicle and location.
Material and origin must be known before the trip
For loose materials, send composition, origin and an approximate quantity with its unit. For individual items, add dimensions and weights. Photograph the material and surroundings to show how loading can reach it.
For material being removed, confirm the receiving destination and conditions in advance. Do not plan an unknown mixture as routine removal without clarification. A separate guide distinguishes soil and rubble in more detail; transport itself does not establish acceptance at the destination.
Assess access and space for the actual vehicle
Photograph the whole route from the road, turns, entrance and truck working area. Add known height restrictions, surfaces, gradients and buried objects. Include room for safe handling, not just somewhere the vehicle physically fits.
If land other than your own is involved, resolve its use conditions beforehand with the responsible person. This guide does not decide whether a particular placement requires special consultation. Transport arrangements should not rely on an unverified standing area.
Volume, weight and loading time are different inputs
Approximate cubic metres do not determine trips alone. Weight depends on the material and actual load; a vehicle's weight category is not its payload. Explain how you estimate the quantity and disclose uncertainties before confirming transport.
Identify separately who loads and when material will be ready. Vehicle waiting and travel time may be separate items. Charging should relate to the sequence defined in advance.

| Request | What to verify |
|---|---|
| One-off transport | Location, load, loading and handover |
| A prepared stockpile | Material accessibility and loading equipment requirements |
| Leaving a container | Whether the service is available and on what terms |
| Further handling | The actual request and equipment capabilities |
| Material removal | Receiving-site conditions confirmed in advance |
Example: transport versus container placement
A customer wants a container for several days, while the initial discussion covers only a trip to collect prepared material. Without clarification, each party would expect a different process and price.
Describe the timing scenario: what is ready, when loading occurs and whether anything should remain on site. Availability of the particular service is confirmed first. This example is neither a reference nor a promise of container hire.
What to send for a transport quote
Prepare both addresses, material type and quantity, access photographs and the required scenario. Add loading, handling, date and a contact. For removal, say whether the receiving destination is already confirmed.
Distinguish loading, transport, unloading, waiting and any further activities in the quote. Do not assume hire duration or material acceptance fees unless explicitly described. Clarify the whole scope before booking the truck.
Frequently asked questions
Do you automatically offer container hire for several days?
Container transport alone does not confirm that option. State the required placement and duration separately so availability and conditions can be checked.
Is every material removed in the same way?
First establish composition, quantity and acceptance conditions. The transport solution is confirmed for the actual load.
Is loading included in transport?
Only if expressly stated in the order. Explain whether suitable equipment is on site or needs arranging.
Is container volume enough to determine trips?
Actual weight and vehicle capabilities also influence transport. One generic figure cannot determine the exact trip count.
Need a specific material transport job?
Send the material type, both locations and loading method. Identify what is already ready and what still needs confirmation.
