Need strip footings, a utility trench or space for a pool, sump or tank? Tell us the length, width and depth and whether you have plans. We choose the 2.5 t or 5 t JCB to suit the brief and plan where the excavated soil will go.
Topsoil stripping and landscaping
We prepare the ground for work on gardens, patios or fences. We agree the required levels, area and soil you want to keep on site. Materials can be moved around the site with our JCB dumper or wheeled loader.
Planning access and removal together
Gate width alone is not enough. Clearance height, bends, slope, the load-bearing capacity of the access road and turning space also matter. Please tell us whether a truck can reach the excavation directly. We confirm the equipment’s access requirements before the job.
Before starting and handing over
Before machinery arrives, we confirm project dimensions, the working area, utility information and soil handling. For foundations or utilities, arrange the required inspection with the responsible person before covering the work. Unexpected ground, structures or water require clarification of the method and scope.
What affects the price
We agree the scope, equipment and transport so you know what the price includes. The main factors are:
- Excavation dimensions and depth, ground type and required precision.
- Site access and the size of excavator required.
- On-site soil handling, loading, transport and agreed removal destination.

Can I request excavation without exact dimensions?
Yes. Tell us what the excavation is for, the village and approximate size. Attach photos of the site and entrance. That is enough for an initial discussion; we then clarify what is needed for the quote and the work.
Which excavator is right for my site?
We have 2.5 t and 5 t JCB excavators. The choice depends on the excavation scope, entrance width and height, slope and working space. Send access dimensions and a description of the work; we confirm the right equipment before the job.
Can the soil stay on my property?
Yes, if there is suitable space and it fits your plans. We agree where it will go and whether a dumper or loader is needed to move it. Removal can be included in the quote.
